December 24, 2006 7:25 AM
Oroumiyeh, Dec 25, Taliya News – Head of TCI Board of Directors said here Friday that proposal for decreasing price of SIM card prices to lower than 2,500,000 rials ($250) is presented to Economy Council.
Saber Feyzi added in an interview with ISNA, “We had already proposed offering SIM cards below 3,000,000 rials as of late January, 2007, to the Economy Council, but our new proposal is that the approved price should not be below 2,500,000 rials because in that case the ICT Ministry would face financial difficulties.”
Feyzi emphasized, “Beyond doubt the 1st Operator would have new registrations for SIM cards below 3,000,000 rials in late January, and I hope the Economy Council would announce its final decision as soon as possible.”
The TCI Managing Director who is in Oroumiyeh along with a number of ICT Ministry officials to open the 2nd Operator’s network, said, “Delivery of IranCell SIM cards in Oroumiyeh would begin as of Saturday and in Maraqeh later in the week.”
