Price of state SIM cards keep decreasing

Tehran, Jan 17, Taliya News – Brand new state SIM cards’ prices with different codes (0912) keep decreasing and their average decrease week on week is now 350,000 rials ($35), according to Taliya News reporter.
According to a Sunday report of our correspondent, the price of brand new SIM cards with 4 and 5 codes with 400,000 rials decrease and the price of 3 code SIM cards with 250,000 rials decrease had the highest drops in the market.
Six and seven code SIM cards, too, were sold 300,000 rials lower than their last week prices this week.
Active dealers at Tehran SIM card market say one of the reasons for decreased prices of the state SIM cards is the approaching time for new 2.880,000 rial state SIM card registrations (as of early February 2007).
Brand new Taliya prepaid SIM cards, too, are bought at 950,000 rials and sold up to 1,050,000 rials.
The price of second hand SIM cards of this operator, considering the left period and amount of their credits, too, is between 600,000 and 700,000 rials.
IranCell SIM cards are sold at their official 1,500,000 rial price, although paying them on installment basis and at prices as low as 1,460,000 rials, too, has been reported from Tehran SIM card market for a few weeks now.
