ICT Minister claims Iran ahead of Malaysia!

Hamedan, Hamedan , May 13, Taliya News – Iran’s Internet penetration had a 60% growth last year compared to year before last, reaching 16%, according to country’s ICT Minister.
Mohammad Soleimani added at the launching ceremony for 258 telecom projects in Hamedan Province, claiming that based on current statistics, Iran’s Internet penetration is above that of Malaysia today.
He added, “Relying on efforts made last year throughout Iran, in entire Iranian cities and towns, save for seven, the delivery of stationary phone lines is already upon request, while our efforts are now focused on presenting telecom services to country’s entire villages by current year’s end.”
Soleimani reiterated, “The 9th Government is serious in proving its competence and productivity and during the course of the last year, too, refraining form extravagance and salary increase, we managed to lower expanses 31% in Khorassan Province TCI Company.”
