Increased IranCell tariff leads lowers sales – MP

Tehran, May 8, Taliya News – Head of Parliament’s Telecom Committee said here Sunday increased IranCell tariffs would definitely lead to decreased interest of people for buying 2nd Operator’s SIM cards.
Ramezan-Ali Sadeqzadeh added in an interview with IT Desk reporter of IRNA, “In accordance with terms of a contract signed between the IranCell and the Radio Communications & Regulations Organization (RCRO), that operator’s tariffs can be at most 20% above those of the 1st (state) Operator.”
IranCell changed its bill calculation method from minutes pulse basis to seconds based as of May 5th, but simultaneously increased its tariffs.
Head of Parliament’s Telecom Committee meanwhile focusing on discussions on MMS filtering, said, “The MMS and SMS messages are private relations between two parties, eavesdropping on which is possible merely relying on official orders issued by authorized judiciary officials, otherwise considered publishable eavesdropping offense.”
