IranCell Subscribers displeased with tariff increase
May 11, 2007 11:10 PM

Tehran, May 11, Taliya News – Following 2nd Operator’s sudden increase of its talk phone tariffs number of people wishing to sell their IranCell SIM cards has increased and price of those cards have kept on decreasing.
That process has also meaningfully affected dealings of 2nd Operator’s SIM cards in the market, although IranCell’s tariff increase has been approved by the Radio Communications & Regulations Organization (RCRO) in accordance with a ratification of the Supreme Economy Council.
Experts believe the reason for public dissatisfaction with the IranCell SIM cards following that tariff alteration only a few months after IranCell SIM cards presentation to the market is the people’s loss of trust and IranCell’s failure in transparent information dissemination to its subscribers.
Based on IranCell’s new double-tariff system, those subscribers that wish their bills to be calculated based on minutes’ pulses would still be charged 499 rials per minute for long and short distance calls, but for the subscribers wishing to use the seconds’ pulse basis in bill calculation the higher tariffs are applied.
