Tehran, May 11, Taliya News – 2nd Operator (IranCell) was directed by Regulatory Organization Tuesday to cease offering MMS service till completion of MMS filtering facilities’ procurement and installment.
Technological Persian weekly Fannavaran, quoting an informed source in is this week edition as saying that filtering the obscene MMSes has been approved by the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council last week and the ICT Ministry has been commissioned to pursue the matter.
The said ministry, too, has in turn asked the Radio Communications & Regulations Organization (RCRO) to see into implementation of that decision.
The informed source added, “The Regulatory issued an order addressed to the 2nd Operator last week, obliging IranCell to see into filtering the obscene MMS messages.”
Second Mobile Phone Operator’s Managing Director Ali-Reza Qalambor-Dezfouli had last Friday said in an interview with ILNA that till then IranCell no order for filleting the MMSes.
Abiding by the Supreme Cultural Revolution Council’s ratification on filtering MMS messages is made obligatory for IranCell under such conditions that according to ICT Ministry experts and top managers there is currently no way for filtering such messages, save for eavesdropping all of them!
