Over 250k state SIM cards delivered to post office

Tehran, May 16, Taliya News – Managing Director of Tehran Province Post Office said here Monday delivery of state prepaid SIM cards has begun as of May 13th at Tehran Post Offices.
Hamid Behnami added in an interview with IT Desk reporter of ISNA, “Prepaid SIM card applicants with receipts whose first right hand digit of their serial numbers are 0, 2, 4, 6 and 9 can refer to the post offices, or the MCI Subscribers Service Stations where they have filed their requests this month and receive their SIM cards.”
He added, “The applicants must fill an ID form, pay 330,000 rials (over US $33) present their initial registration slips and a valid ID, and receive their SIM cards.”
He pointed out that 517,021 applicants have applied for prepaid sate SIM cards, 259,634 of whom would receive their SIM cards at this stage.
