TaliyaNews :. Return
Customers' attentions to guarantee
July 17, 2007 12:37 PM

Taliya News - Guarantee has not been practiced so far in Iran. It has been used during renovation period, by some economists, which result in importing of a wide choice of merchandise. Iranians still do not differentiate the goods which are under guarantee from those that are not. The distinction of these two is so vivid, especially on handsets which have been imported so fast that paves the way for all those service industries that negate the guarantee card they have issued. Therefore, some customers facing problems presume it as a flaw for dealers and importers.
''As I purchased a handset the vendor assured me of its validity. I was so satisfied. The handset went dead after two weeks. So, I revisited the outlet I have bought my handset from to use my guarantee card, which did not have any address or telephone number. He showed me the sales slip which said we do not take goods back. Therefore, he gave me the address of the service industry. As I went there, I saw so many people who have faced the same problem. The person who was in charge asked for 30 to 40 thousand Tomans, while I was asked for 10 thousand Tomans in service centers on Jomhouri Avenue. He told us it would be repaired in a week, while the servicemen in service centers assured us of repairing it in one or two hours.'' This is what would happen to so many people nowadays.
Most of Iranians assume guarantee stands for the validity of the product they purchased as they do not have enough information on this subject. On the other hand, service industries surmise that those products which have been failed need substandard works as the customers misused them.
Some frauds who gain financial advantage over registration of some companies whose names remind us well-known companies do not write their addresses; or even their telephone numbers, on the guarantee cards.
15 notable service industries are around the city whose names are not familiar for some people. Etesalat International iran and khadamat talaee nia are said to be the service industries of Nokia. Sitadel is the service industry of Sony Eriksson. Pars ghaem and pars Microtel are the service industries of Samsung which validate the guarantee cards, while Madiran and Parshin telecom validate LG products in Iran. Fitco validates the guarantee cards of Pantec products, while Ranjo System validates Sajam's cards. These service industries certify the repair they have done on the handsets.
