Taliya News - Cost of talking on the cell phones, outside Iran, is one of the questions that most of the passengers ask, especially Hajjis, who keep asking about the amount of money they should pay, and the type of the SIM cards which are more profitable. It is very important at this juncture to know when their SIM cards are going to go dead, Isna has reported.
Telecommunication Company of Iran had agreed the talking tariff and signed a contract with two operators, which are STC and Etihad, said the supervisor of economic policy and telecommunication tariffs.
Shahrbanoo Rezvani Nejad added a costumer who has not called anybody and received no SMS would not pay any thing, but the costumer who has traveled and received SMS must pay.
'' Those who have reached the maximum of talking on cell phones when they go on a trip, which is $200, are not allowed to talk anymore since their SIM cards go dead, except those who have deposited sum in Telecommunication Company of Iran so that their SIM cards would not go dead.''
Telecommunication Company of Iran president, Mr. Alavian, said that ''It is more profitable for all the passengers to get the chargeable SIM cards of the country they have traveled to since they should pay sum of 360 Tomans if they are called from Tehran, whereas the cost would be about 175 to 400 if they get the chargeable SIM cards of Saudi Arabia. If they call their relatives from Saudi Arabia they should pay about 1400 Tomans, whereas they should pay 800 Tomans if they get the chargeable SIM cards from Saudi Arabia Telecommunication Company.''
