Taliya News - The capacity of the networks of cell phones will be boosted into ten million, and the number of the sites would be six thousand, one thousand and eight hundred of them have been launched and the rest would be set up in upcoming months, said the Telecommunication Company chairman.
Mr. Vahid Sadooghi said: '' So many people have been registered for getting SIM cards that stunned the managers; therefore, we try to offer the SIM cards in 30; or 45, days.''
He talked over GPRS and MMS services which will be offered to the first operator as some companies are going to be invited to tender for GPRS apparatus.
He said that it is scheduled to put in a tender for GPRS apparatus this month, but as performing the project would take three months; therefore, GPRS service is going to be offered in October.
He added: '' Twenty percent of those sites which are the sites in BTS forms, and fifteen percent of BSC-form sites must become SWAP. Seven hundred of one thousand and seven hundred BTS sites have been changed into Swap, and most of BSC sites have been changed too. Therefore, all these preliminaries which are vital for offering GPRS service would be prepared as soon as possible.''
