MOBNA – Telecom Research Center president said they are working on Persian equivalents of some of telecom foreign terms.
Kamal Mohaamedpour, in conversation with MOBNA, stressed finding Persian equivalents of Latin terms is the task of the Persian Literature Academy, and the Center will assist them when coming up with Persian equivalents of some telecom technical terms.
He said last year the Center set up a project for finding Persian equivalents of foreign terms in the telecom and mobile phone sector which has nearly produced some results.
He stressed the project’s assignment is ongoing since there are constant new terms in mobile phone, IT and telecom sector.
He said the equivalents so devised are usually approved by the PLA, some of which appearing in their fourth volume of Persian terms.
Terms such as GSM, GPRS and VSM are on the PLA agenda for Persian equivalents.
In the past, the PLA have approved Persian equivalents of foreign terms such as SMS and MMS.
