MOBNA – Ministry of Information & Communication Technology education and research director announced some 700b Rial fund from internal industries sources is being allocated to the ministry’s research center.

Kamal Mahaamedpour, in conversation with MOBNA, said once the fund is available, the country’s universities and research centers will be financially supported.
He said a similar amount was dedicated towards such a purpose last year but only 200b Rial of it was ever realized.
He said that in last year’s Budget, all government bodies were required to assign 1% of their budgets to research activities.
He indicated that some provinces have not been able to expend the 1% fund.
He said, however, that the same rule applies this year and hoped the aim is fulfilled this time round.
