MOBNA – Ministry of Information & Communication Technology International Affairs deputy stated that a number of foreign companies

have officially announced their readiness to take part in the 3rd Operator tender.
Ahmad Pourangnia, in conversation with MOBNA, indicated that such companies seek partnership with other foreign companies for the purpose.
He stressed that until they officially announce their readiness for the tender participation the ministry will not count on them.
He stressed that the new political atmosphere has not adversely affected their tendency to participate.
The tender for mobile phone 3rd Operator was due last winter with the winner starting its operation next November in 3G technology.
Currently, there are 3 mobile phone operators in the country providing services to 35m subscribers.
