MOBNA – Mobile Telecommunications’ fiber optic network is to be linked to European and US networks.

Ministry of Information & Communication Technology PR department quotes Bagher Zohourifar, MTC chief, as saying, after signing a protocol with Telia Sotra CO, the agreement will open another international gateway to the country’s existing gates.
He added that the country’s fiber optic network will be linked to another 40,000 km fiber optic network which passes through Asia, Europe and the USA.
He indicated that both sides of the contract have agreed to allow subscribers of other network access to internet and IP services.
It is to be said that MTC, in an earlier protocol with a Russian side, has linked Iran’s fiber optic network to another gateway via north of Iran.
