Informatics Industries Research Center chief indicated that the establishment of a

mobile handset laboratory would require a fund of 5b Rial.
Alireza Khamse, in conversation with MOBNA, said the proposal has been submitted to the Institute of Standards & Industrial Research and some studies have been conducted on the equipments required.
He added that the Institute has given its overall approval to the proposal and is currently conducting the administrative work.
He stressed that they have held meetings with Mobile Telecommunications who have promised their support for the scheme.
He said with such backings the Center is now awaiting the necessary fund.
He announced for the project to start, the capabilities of mobile handsets and their compatibility with the operator etc. will be discussed with the MTC and the Ministry of Industries & Mines.
