Call center installation on personal PO boxes

MOBNA – With the installation of call centers on personal post boxes, the owner is informed by

Payamac (SMS) or phone call to his/her electronic P. O. box as soon as a parcel is placed in the box.
Ministry of Information & Communication Technology PR department quotes Mohammad Hussein Mohebbian Araghi, Post Office CEO, as saying the scheme will be operational across the country this year which underwent pilot test in two boroughs of Tehran last year.
In the past, the owners of such boxes would report casually to their boxes to see if there were any parcels.
He indicated that the new system will help prompt parcels delivery while cutting down on unnecessary trips.
He said call centers are installed by formal request, which are made at a Post Office branch.
He declared that last year post office boxes were equipped with electronic gadgets which report when the box has been emptied.
